About Resolve

Resolve (www.helloresolve.com) is a mission-driven fintech platform designed to help the 70 million people in the US struggling with debt.

Resolve is a Public Benefit Corporation (what’s that) disrupting the predatory world of traditional debt relief.

We are a small but mighty team working remotely mostly around San Francisco, CA. We have team members in New York, Cluj (Romania) and Clark (Philippines).

We’ve raised $11 million from some of the top mission-driven fintech investors like QED, Fenway Summer, Camp One, Acumen Fund, Impact America, Lerer Hippeau, and Ulu Ventures.

We were awarded CFSI’s 2018 Finlab winner, the Financial Venture Studio 2019 Class, and The 2019 Inclusive Fintech 50.

Overview

We are looking for an in-house communications director to own the distribution of Resolve’s inspirational story. We are on a mission to help the 70 million people struggling with debt using magical technology and an innovative consumer-first business model. We even have a villain in this story…the predatory providers of traditional debt relief.

Responsibilities & Requirements

You have an unwavering passion for helping people in financial distress and a clear moral and ethical compass for balancing the needs of our members versus the needs of building a successful business
You’ll have 5+ years of in-house communications experience inside a company where you were responsible for multiple successful product launches and innovative campaigns
You’ll understand and have experience with both consumer and business communications strategies
You’ll own the Resolve “dictionary” including the words and terms we use and the tone in which we use them
You’ll be able to tell our inspirational story in an authentic and direct way without sounding slimy or spammy
You’ll own the calendar and creative for press releases, media placements, and whitepapers
You’ll own the conference and panel schedule including when to attend or host
You have a proven ability to build trusted relationships with key media and influencers
You understand how to make trade-offs between cost, time, investment, and return
You possess a high work ethic, positive attitude, and almost-obsessive attention to detail
You know when to work hard versus smart and enjoy getting your hands dirty

Compensation

Overall, title and comp is based on experience
