Product Lead / GM – Debt Settlement Vertical

About Resolve

Resolve (www.helloresolve.com) is a financial management platform designed for consumers struggling with extreme financial distress. The platform educates consumers on the various ways they can get out of debt and analyzes the consumer’s specific situation offering a combination of automated and human-provided guidance on selecting the best path forward. Once the consumer has decided on their path, Resolve helps implement their plan using automation and fully integrated, ethical, and affordable partners. As a trusted advocate of the consumer, we are able to help consumers directly address their financial distress while avoiding the predatory world of traditional debt relief companies. The end result is a better financial outcome for both the consumer and the creditors.

We are a mission-based for-profit company looking to disrupt the predatory world of debt relief.

We are a small but mighty team of 11 people mostly based out of Oakland, CA. We pride ourselves on our strong team culture whether you work in Oakland or remotely.

We’ve raised about $5 million from some of the top mission-driven fintech investors like QED, Fenway Summer, Camp One, and Acumen Fund. We were also selected for CFSI’s 2018 Finlab program.

Responsibilities & Requirements

  • This role will “own” the complete debt settlement product on Resolve from user segmentation through revenue.
  • You’ll be responsible for structuring the user journey through the debt settlement experience as well as evaluating and testing various monetization models.
  • You will work closely with our internal team (marketing, operations, customer support) as well as integrated external service partners (debt negotiators, attorneys).
  • Your primary goal is to identify the correct people for debt settlement and drive ethical monetization.
  • The ideal person has a diverse entrepreneurial background ranging from marketing, project management, product development, and business development and can own the full life cycle.
  • You have a passion for helping people who are underserved and in financial distress.
  • Previous consumer finance experience a big plus, but not required.
  • The ideal person is eager to transform human-based processes and decisions into software.
  • A deep understanding of online consumer behavior and motivation is a must.
  • This is an individual contributor role.

Compensation

  • Overall, title and comp is based on experience
  • Open to contract and full-time roles
  • Salary range is $125-200k
  • Equity range is 0.25% to 1.00%

  • This role will “own” the development, implementation, and overall success of growing the Resolve user base and revenue through creative partner channels.
  • Partnerships range from simple referral marketing relationships to fully integrated API cobranded experiences. You’ll be responsible for structuring the user journey as well as the partnership monetization model.
  • This is a “full-funnel” GM-type role starting with email marketing and landing page optimization down into revenue generation.
  • Your primary goal is to drive user growth and revenue.
  • You’ll work closely with multiple external finance-related sites to identify people experiencing financial distress and internal product owners (debt management, debt settlement, and bankruptcy).
  • The ideal person has a diverse entrepreneurial background ranging from marketing, project management, product development, and business development and can own the full life cycle.
  • A passion for helping underserved, financially distressing people is important.
  • Previous consumer finance and partnership development experience is a plus, but not required.
  • A deep understanding of online consumer behavior and motivation is a must.
  • This is an individual contributor role.
